The Lady Dunn Health Centre is a new state-of-the-art facility that employs 100 staff. Their catchment area extends to Dubreuilville, Missanabie, White River and Hawk Junction. It provides a wide range of high quality services.
A multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, nurses, dietician, pharmacist, physiotherapist and occupational therapist provide care. There are two Respite Care beds, ten Acute Care beds and 16 Long Term Care beds.
There is 24 hour Emergency Services, a Surgical program, Obstetrics, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services. Within their Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Department they offer a variety of services including radiography, ultrasound services, outpatient and inpatient Physiotherapy, Stress testing, holter monitoring, E.C.G.s and respiratory testing.
The Wawa Medical Centre is located within the Lady Dunn Health Centre directly across the hall from the Emergency Department. There are five doctors – Dr Rudy Gasparelli, Dr. Michael Cotterill, Dr. Erle Kirby, Dr. John Murray, Dr. Anjali Oberai and Nurse Practitioner Shirley Hale. Contact: 705-856-1313

Nurse Practitioner Program
The Lady Dunn Health Centre administers the Nurse Practitioner Program located in the Wawa Medical Centre. The program`s outreach includes White River, Michipicoten First Nations and Missanabie. Contact: 705-856-1313
Diabetes Education Program
This service is provided on site in Dubreuilville, Michipicoten First Nation, Missanabie, Wawa and White River. The LDHC also funds a foot care program. To contact the Wawa Diabetes Educator, call 705-856-2335.
Dubreuilville Nursing Station
Dubreuilville is located 75 km north west of Wawa. The nursing station, staffed by two registered nurses and two physicians who make weekly one day visits, provide health care services to residents and visitors of Dubreuilville. Contact: 705-884-2884
North Algoma Counselling Service
One bi-lingual Psychotherapist provides mental health services to the communities of Dubreuilville, White River, Mobert, Hornepayne, Hawk Junction and Wawa.
Lady Dunn Auxiliary
The 20 member Lady Dunn Auxiliary advocates support of patient care in Wawa and the surrounding area, through education, fund-raising opportunities and the promotion of volunteer services to people. They operate a Gift Shop just to the right of the front entrance to the Health Centre.
